WhiteClouds created a dimensional PIONEERS display for the University of Wisconsin-Platteville campus. The completed installation pairs large freestanding letters with a crossed-pickaxe identity element. WhiteClouds built the letters from 12-gauge steel and finished them with a painted polyurea coating.

The installation presents the word PIONEERS as a long freestanding composition. Deep gray letterforms sit in front of the crossed-pickaxe element, creating two levels of dimensional branding in one campus display. The completed letters stand above nearby visitors at campus scale.

The outdoor letters are mounted on a continuous low base. The neutral letters leave the strongest color to the blue crossed picks and costumed Pioneers character. The full arrangement creates a campus identity feature with distinct foreground and background elements.
The completed display combines two different kinds of identity element. The long PIONEERS word forms the primary horizontal element, while the crossed picks rise behind it as a compact symbol. Their layered placement gives the installation depth without interrupting the spelling, and the continuous base keeps the separate letterforms aligned as one campus composition.
