This museum project turns an animated living-room setting into a coordinated physical display. The orange couch functions as a themed bench, surrounded by a dimensional end table, phone, lamp, television, coat rack, and framed sailboat image.
Building the living room as one coordinated prop environment
The installation brings the room together through a consistent set of simplified shapes and bright colors. The orange seating, pink side table, turquoise phone, purple-and-pink television stand, coat rack, and framed wall image read as parts of one environment rather than unrelated individual props.
WhiteClouds fabricated the group for a museum application, giving the display a physical arrangement that can be viewed as a complete room scene.
An orange couch configured as a themed bench
The couch is both the largest furniture form in the scene and the project's seating element. Its broad back, three seat sections, rounded arms, and raised star details preserve the stylized appearance while allowing it to function as a themed bench within the display.
The nearby props frame the seating area without obscuring the bench, keeping the orange couch at the center of the living-room composition.
Shaping the furniture and room details in foam
Expanded polystyrene foam was cut with hot-wire equipment to establish the primary forms. Finer details were hand carved before the pieces were primed and painted in the finished color palette.
That process was used across the seating and surrounding props so the different objects share a consistent dimensional and surface treatment.
