Programmable LED Candy Cloud Event Props
WhiteClouds fabricated illuminated candy cloud props for an event and trade-show display. Two completed clouds are shown suspended above screens and other exhibit elements. Programmable LEDs illuminated the forms in blue, pink, and violet. Each documented cloud measured six feet wide, three feet tall, and one foot deep.

How the Candy Clouds Were Built
Each cloud was built around a foam core with integrated LED lighting. The core was then covered with a soft fibrous material that created the full, fluffy appearance of a cloud. The soft fibrous material formed the visible exterior and created the fluffy finished appearance.
Programmable Lighting in the Event Display
The integrated LEDs supplied the color changes used in the finished display. Blue, pink, and violet light appeared across the fibrous exterior while the clouds remained soft in appearance. Both suspended props used the same programmed colors as part of the completed overhead display.
Planning a Similar Illuminated Prop
A new illuminated-cloud brief should identify the number of pieces, approximate dimensions, desired color behavior, viewing sides, indoor or outdoor setting, and whether the props will be suspended or floor-supported. State whether each cloud needs independent color control or the full group should follow one programmed sequence. Power access, venue rules, delivery access, deadline, and shipping destination should also be supplied at the start.
For suspended work, the venue and qualified project team must define rigging, electrical, inspection, and operating requirements for that installation. The custom prop can then be quoted around the approved shape, lighting scope, and display conditions.
