Planning a Giant Pineapple Prop
A giant pineapple prop combines two very different visual zones: a dense patterned fruit body and a crown of long directional leaves. Their proportions, surface rhythm, orientation, and base need to be planned together so neither half overwhelms the other.

Set the fruit body and leaf crown independently
The transition between the two zones should be resolved before fine rind or leaf detail.
Body profile
Choose oval, cylindrical, tapered, or stylized proportions and mark the widest circumference.
Rind rhythm
Set the size, direction, and contrast of the repeating surface units for the intended viewing distance.
Crown height
Dimension the leaf zone separately so the total height does not hide an undersized fruit body.
Leaf spread
Map the longest leaves in plan view, including any asymmetrical bend or audience-facing opening.
Coordinate tilt, ground contact, and the primary approach
An upright pineapple gives the crown a vertical emphasis and places the patterned body at camera height. A slight lean can add gesture but extends the leaf envelope and shifts the visual center. A horizontal treatment exposes different rind areas and requires a longer contact zone.
Show the desired orientation on both elevation and plan drawings. Include nearby people, shelving, signs, platforms, or supplied scenery so the leaf tips and widest body point do not intrude on required clearances.

The most useful brief treats the crown as more than an overall-height extension.
