WhiteClouds created a giant wine-glass prop for Central as a portable event display. The transparent acrylic form stands approximately 5 feet tall and is paired with an 18-by-18-by-one-quarter-inch steel base plate. A 1.5-inch support rod and flange stabilize the delicate-looking wine-glass form.

Scaling a familiar glass into an event prop

WhiteClouds enlarged the bowl, stem, and foot of a wine glass to human scale. The transparent acrylic keeps the oversized object visually light and unmistakably glass-like.

At approximately 5 feet tall, the prop can stand beside people and other event elements while keeping the visual proportions of the original object. The finished transparent form rises from a carefully planned base and support.

Designed with transport in mind

The base and support arrangement were planned for movement between display settings. The prop could be positioned for transport in a way that reduced the demands of moving the full-height form upright.
