WhiteClouds created this Homer Simpson figure as an early internal 3D-printed statue prototype for the company's CEO. The full-body build served as an internal test of large character geometry, assembly, and painted detail.
An early full-character 3D-printing exercise
The team printed the figure from head to toe, producing the rounded head and torso, arms, hands, legs, shoes, and donut as one coordinated statue. The completed piece gave WhiteClouds an internal reference for how a familiar animated character reads at physical scale.
Made for the WhiteClouds CEO, the statue became part of the company's early internal 3D-printing work.
Character proportions carried into a freestanding form
Large eyes, the projecting muzzle, rounded belly, short sleeves, simplified hands, and broad shoes preserve the exaggerated proportions visible in the source character. The pose uses a stable standing arrangement while the raised donut adds a smaller object near the face.
The mouth, fingers, clothing edges, and facial forms continue around the printed volume, giving this prototype complete dimensional detail from multiple angles.
Airbrushed whiskers and donut sprinkles
Airbrushing added the smaller color and surface details after the printed figure was assembled. That finishing work included the donut sprinkles and the whiskers on Homer's unshaven face.
The completed figure brings the printed character form and airbrushed details together in a full-body internal prototype.
Preparing an authorized statue project
A client character statue requires artwork the client is authorized to use, an agreed pose, target height, viewing sides, base or mounting requirements, access limits, destination, and schedule. Rights and attribution should be established before production begins.
