The City of Green Bay commissioned WhiteClouds to create a large metal display reading I Heart GB for the north end of CityDeck. The finished installation stands nearly 10 feet tall, measures approximately 18 inches deep, and weighs about 1,200 pounds. WhiteClouds fabricated the display from 12-gauge steel, applied its Polyurea ULX66 protective coating, and painted the finished form.
A city identifier built as a freestanding metal landmark
The display combines a tall green I, a yellow cheese-shaped heart, and green GB letters on a dark base. Its stacked composition keeps the city abbreviation compact while giving the heart a prominent position above the letters. The completed display stands on the CityDeck boardwalk at a scale that frames groups of people.
The installation location at the north end of CityDeck places the display within a public waterfront setting. Its open foreground and city-specific design make it a natural backdrop for visitor photographs.
The completed I Heart GB display at CityDeck
The finished display identifies Green Bay through a compact visual phrase and a city-specific heart treatment. On the CityDeck boardwalk, the finished display doubles as a backdrop for group photographs.
WhiteClouds fabricated the physical steel display for the City of Green Bay.
