WhiteClouds created a giant cutaway baseball for the Rawlings Experience retail museum and store in St. Louis, Missouri. The oversized display keeps the familiar white cover and red stitching while opening one section to reveal a layered interior. The completed cutaway baseball stood inside the Rawlings Experience as a full-height display.
Turning a baseball's interior into a visible exhibit
From most viewpoints, the rounded white exterior and enlarged red stitching identify the object as an oversized baseball. The curved white outer surface and enlarged red stitching establish the object, while the cutaway interrupts one side to expose concentric interior layers that would ordinarily remain hidden.
The finished baseball stood among Rawlings products and retail fixtures inside the Rawlings Experience.
