Ally commissioned WhiteClouds to fabricate a giant soccer ball held between two oversized goalkeeper gloves for a special event. The completed display supported Ally's Own the Save campaign and combined a familiar sports object with large dimensional hands that made the saving action readable as one composition.
A goalkeeper save represented as one sculptural group
The ball sits between two open gloves rather than appearing as a separate sphere. This arrangement establishes the moment of a save and gives the three oversized objects a shared direction when viewed from the front.
Black, white, and gray panels define the soccer ball, while blue and yellow sections identify the gloves and connect the display to the campaign graphics visible in the event photograph.
Foam forms with painted texture and stitched glove seams
EPS foam formed the ball and gloves. After shaping, the forms were primed and painted with a suede-like appearance that softened the visual surface of the gloves while keeping the ball panels distinct.
The glove seams were hand sewn. At oversized scale, those stitches become visible dimensional details that help the hands read as sports equipment rather than smooth generic forms.
Installed with the Own the Save campaign display
The completed event image shows the sculpture positioned beside Ally's campaign wall, with the ball and gloves presented as a freestanding physical extension of the printed material.
Its materials and configuration describe this specific build. A future sports replica would be planned around its own scale, setting, handling, and support requirements.
