WhiteClouds produced the large Mario figure as an internal 3D-printed prototype. The full character includes the familiar cap, face, gloves, overalls, boots, and raised-fist pose.
A complete character used as an internal 3D-printing study
Building the full figure gave the team a physical reference for how character proportions behave beyond desktop scale. The head, torso, arms, hands, legs, and shoes had to read as one pose after the printed components were assembled.
The finished figure became a full-scale reference for WhiteClouds' internal character-fabrication work.
Rounded forms, a forward step, and a raised fist
The pose places one foot forward and one arm overhead, creating a diagonal movement through the otherwise upright figure. Large hands, shoes, facial features, and the cap preserve the exaggerated proportions visible in the source design.
The completed surface separates the red cap and shirt, blue overalls, white gloves, brown shoes, skin tones, hair, and mustache. Modeled transitions define the face, ears, fingers, clothing, and footwear around the complete figure.
Using an authorized character design for a custom prop
For client character work, production begins with artwork the client is authorized to use, an approved pose, target dimensions, required viewing sides, display method, access constraints, destination, and schedule. Those inputs determine the geometry and physical format before fabrication.
As an internal prototype, the figure gave WhiteClouds a complete character form for evaluating large-scale 3D printing and finishing.
