Nichrome is a heat-resistant alloy. In 3D printing, Nichrome wire is used for electric heating devices such as the extruder and heated print bed. It is typically made of 80% nickel and 20% chromium, is non-magnetic, and has a melting point of 2552°F. It is commonly used in heating elements for devices such as hair dryers, toasters, and electrical ovens.
